Terry has a background in Engineering and R&D, and is the founder of hardware technology startup Eight 360.

Winner of NZ Young Engineer of the Year and Finalist for NZ HiTech Young Achiever, HiTech Inspiring Individual and Wellingtonian of the Year, Terry has been a leader in the technology and startup sector for nearly a decade.

As a startup founder his role is "CEO - Chief Everything Officer" and this has helped develop a wide skillset across the business from strategy and finance to sales and marketing, doing it all with limited budget and resources.

He has raised millions of dollars of investment, developed a world-unique product and led partner relationship and business development initiatives to establish overseas presence and sell units internationally.

With experience both working in an R&D team and then building and running a small innovative company, as well as ongoing engagement with the STEM education and career path outreach space, he has an unusual perspective on career progression and the future of work.
